Who we are
This website is operated by O-Town Plumbing, a licensed Utah plumbing contractor, under the brand name Ogden Emergency Plumbing. Service requests submitted here are handled by O-Town Plumbing, and the plumbing work described on this site is performed by O-Town Plumbing.
What we collect
When you submit a service request we collect your name, phone number, ZIP code, a description of your plumbing problem, and any photograph you choose to attach.
We also record how you arrived at this site: the page you landed on, the referring website, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. This is used to understand which pages actually help people, and it is attached to your enquiry.
What we do with it
Your service request is used to contact you and attend to the problem you described. That is the purpose of the form and the only reason we ask.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. It is shared only with the service providers that run this website and its call tracking, described below, and where the law requires disclosure.
Calls
The telephone number on this site is a tracking number that forwards to O-Town Plumbing. Calls to it are recorded. Recordings are used to confirm the details of a job and to check the quality of the service given.
Utah law permits the recording of a call where one party to it consents, and this notice is how we tell you in advance. If you would prefer not to be recorded, say so at the start of the call, or use the form on this site instead.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses WhatConverts to record how visitors arrive and which pages lead to calls and enquiries. It sets cookies in your browser and collects the page you landed on, the referring website, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. No advertising or social media tracking is installed on this site.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.
Web chat
This site uses Chekkit to run the chat window on the page. It loads on every page and may set its own cookies in your browser. If you start a conversation, what you type, along with any name and phone number you give, is sent to Chekkit and passed to us so that we can reply. Please do not send payment details or other sensitive information through the chat.
How long we keep it
Service requests and call recordings are kept for as long as they are needed to complete the work, to answer any follow up or warranty question, and to meet record keeping obligations. After that they are deleted.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email shane@otownplumbing.org and we will respond.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
